How did you get started playing hockey? My sister-in-law, Angie, recruited me.

How long have you played?
I've lost track - started when the Newark league opened up... 5 or 6 years?

Favorite hockey player: I hate to admit it, but I don't really follow pro hockey enough to have a favorite.  But on the youth circuit, I have two: Chase and Blake Cherubini!

Favorite hockey team:
Always root for the home team - Go Jackets!

Hockey wish:
To still be physically able to play when I'm old and crusty!

Personal:
Wish? To always be the person my son sees me as.

Occupation:
Consultant & Project Manager at Nationwide Insurance

Hobbies:
Taking pictures, scrapbooking, reading, participating with the Junior League of Columbus, having dinner with the girls on a monthly basis

Favorite Food:
Lobster

Favorite Movie:
Titanic

One of my favorite things I've ever done is...
cave exploring in New Hampshire. Yikes!

One of my favorite things I've never done is....
travel Europe

If you were to trade places with one person who would it be and why?
That new princess-to-be girl... Kate somebody?  How much fun is she having right now??!!  :o)

How did you get started playing hockey?

My younger brother played hockey in Newark in middle school and high school.  After college I moved back to the area and lived with my parents for a little while.  Eric was in tech school for the Air National Guard, so all of his hockey stuff was still in the basement.  I had played broomball on an IM team in college, so I figured I was qualified for hockey.  I didn’t know anyone who played in the women’s league, but I signed up, showed up, geared up (in my brother’s stinky old pads) and have had a blast!

How Did You Get Started Playing Hockey?
I played a rough sort of pond hockey in the ‘70s on the lower school pond at St. Paul’s School in NH. The school was an early pioneer of ice hockey in America, so the game was BIG there! (http://www.ohrstromblog.com/2009/01/26/from-the-archives-hockey-on-lower-school-pond/). I played a little in college, then didn’t skate for 22 years.

How Did You Get Started Playing Hockey?
My husband starting playing hockey for the first time a few seasons ago and kept telling me how much fun he was having. So, I suckered him into playing soccer and I agreed to try hockey. I went out to watch a women's game, talked to a few of the players, and joined the next season. This past winter was my first season playing and I am now hooked (no pun intended).
