Yes, it is that time again where we lace up our skates and hit the ice....hopefully on our feet!  Registration is now open but remember you must have your USA Hockey Registration done first in order to complete the registration at NewarkHockey.com.

For those of you who are new to our program....Welcome!  We are a developmental league which means we are out there to teach you how to play the game.  We actually teach it differently than how it is actually played in order to allow for our beginners to touch the puck.

We have two lines per team; Intermediates and Beginners.  Intermediates play the opposing team's intermediates for 2 minutes and then once the buzzer sounds the beginners take the ice for the same period of time.  In regular regulation hockey, the time for a shift usually is about 30 to 40 seconds at the most.  This just will not work when we have beginners on our teams.  Our purpose is to educate and help advance those that are new to the sport.

We do not "check" and we are very clear in our rules about the physicality of our play.  Let's face it...none of us are playing in the NHL or college so getting up to go to work is very important.  If you show signs of aggression either verbally or physically, you will be warned.

This league is about FUN.  Don't get me wrong...we like to win but we do it nicely! :)
